Double Clapet Isolation Valve

Remosa designs and manufactures a new concept isolation valve for high temperature application. Its typical use is the isolation of the Expander inlet and outlet sections. Because of the innovative, patented design, this valve guarantees a tight shut-off under the most extreme operating conditions, including high temperature and pressure, where other valves often fail.

Field operators will not risk being exposed to hot gas during valve operation. Hot gas cannot escape during valve operation.

The innovative disc and seat design with stellite hardfacing on the contact area guarantees for infinite open/close cycles a perfect metal-to-metal contact even at extreme temperatures. Unlike other valves currently available on the market, gaskets do not need to be changed to assure tight shut-off after a few valve cycles.

Two of Remosa-made isolation valves have been tested by SGS for maximum seat leakage and certified according to ANSI/FCI 70-2-2006 (class V).

Remosa's double clapet valve is fabricated by forgings and plates. No cast material is used. The valve body can be internally lined with abrasion resistant or refractory materials.

Valve clapets are operated by the Remosa Digital High Pressure Hydraulic Power Control Unit.

This valve is designed according to:

  • A.S.M.E. (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) B31.3 Process Piping Code;
  • A.S.M.E. (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Section VIII, Division 1, Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code;
  • A.S.M.E. (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Section VIII, Division 2, Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Alternative Rules for Finite Element Analysis;
  • A.P.I. (American Petroleum Institute).

The valve can be supplied with the CE stamp in accordance with:

  • the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED: 97/23/EC);
  • the European Directive for Equipment and Protective Systems in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres (ATEX: 94/9/EC);
  • the Machinery Directive (98/37/EC).
