Remosa has been awarded an order to design and manufacture four slide valves, UOP process, for the MSCC unit at Slavneft's Mozyr refinery, in Belarus. The spent catalyst, recirculation catalyst, hot stripper and flue gas double disc slide valves will be delivered complete with actuators and spare parts. Bafco Inc. of Warminster, PA, USA was involved in Remosa's bid as actuator supplier. The order is part of the "Program for Modernization and Upgrading of Oil Refineries" launched by Slavneft in 1996. (December 20, 2000)
Two outlet ducts have been added to the order for a two-port diverter valve Remosa received from AGIP Priolo earlier this year. The ducts will connect the valve outlets to the expansion joint. Remosa will provide Finite Elements Analysis, thermal and mechanical analysis. Delivery by January 15, 2001. The valve will be ready one month earlier. (October 20, 2000)
Remosa received an order from Petrogal for three sets of slide valve spare parts. Destination: Sines refinery, Portugal. These three valves - originally manufactured by a US company - were serviced on-site by Remosa earlier this year. (October 9, 2000)
A 150 ton two-port diverter valve, flip-flop type, arrived in Taiwan at the end of September together with two actuators. The valve [photo, right: during the hot stroke test in August] was the last of eight manufactured by Remosa for the CPC-Taoyuan RFCC Project. Three butterfly valves [see photo] had left Remosa's plant earlier last summer. (October 3, 2000)
SK Engineering and Construction gave Remosa the approval for five TOR slide valves drawings. Remosa will manufacture a spent catalyst, a regenerated catalyst, a recirculation catalyst, a cooled catalyst and a flue gas double disc slide valve for the Tema Oil Refinery, in Ghana. A pre-inspection meeting with SK's engineers is scheduled for August 22, at Remosa's plant in Cagliari, Italy. (August 4, 2000)
Remosa will design and manufacture an expander outlet isolation valve (cold wall design, 95" I.D.) for Petronor's Bilbao refinery. The project is based on technical specifications issued by Foster Wheeler Iberia. The new valve will be delivered in 22 weeks. (July 19, 2000)
Remosa's staff supervised start up operations at the Raffineria di Milazzo plant. Three Remosa manufactured slide valves (fresh feed, flue gas double disc and recirculated catalyst) had been shipped to Sicily earlier this year. (July 15, 2000)
A first set of valves included in the CPC-Taoyuan RFCC Project has passed the hot stroke test at Remosa's plant. These four slide valves (spent shut-off, spent throttling, regenerated shut-off and regenerated throttling) have been shipped to Taiwan already. The order by LG Engineering Co. Ltd. of Seoul, Korea also includes three butterfly valves, with actuators, and one two-port diverter valve, flip-flop type, with two actuators. (July 12, 2000)
After a successful hot stroke test, Remosa shipped a regenerated catalyst, a spent catalyst and a flue gas double disc slide valve to Pemex Madero refinery, FCC2 unit. Actuators for these valves are being supplied by Bafco Inc. of Warminster, PA, USA. This order is part of a US$ 1.2 billion upgrade project which Petróleos Mexicanos awarded to the Sunkyong Engineering and Construction Group. (July 10, 2000)
Remosa will be at Achema 2000, the international exibition on chemical engineering at Frankfurt am Main, Germany, from May 22nd to 27th. Remosa's managing director Luca Mambrini, general manager and director of operations Daniele Cecchelli and design engineer Enrico Luchi will greet visitors at hall 8, stand 32B (May 17, 2000)
.Delivery deadline was met for two new valves manufactured by Remosa for Petrogal - a 40" inlet control expander butterfly valve and a 24" inlet control bypass butterfly valve. Both valves could be needed to replace the existing ones at Sines refinery during the 2000 general shut down, currently under way. Remosa is on site with a team of ten field engineers for a lumpsum turnkey service involving three slide valves (recirculation catalyst, regenerated catalyst and spent catalyst), all with actuators, originally manufactured by a U. S. company. (March 16, 2000)
Remosa is supervising with its own staff the installation of a second set of valves for FCC1 and FCC2 units at FPCC's Mai Liao refinery, Taiwan. A total of 16 Remosa manufactured FCC valves, UOP process, will operate between the two units (see details) (March 16, 2000).
AGIP of Italy has awarded Remosa an order for two new FCC valves (UOP process) and four actuators for Priolo refinery. The order includes:
Actuators will be supplied by Bafco Inc. of Warminster, PA, USA. (March 15, 2000)
Remosa is repairing a two port diverter valve, flip-flop type, and a slide valve during the ESSO Augusta 2000 turnaround. Both valves at this Italian refinery were originally supplied by a U.S. manufacturer. (March 15, 2000)
Remosa staff recently completed a planned maintenance intervention on four FCC valves - UOP process - at the RPC ConCón refinery, Chile. Repair work was needed for a regenerated catalyst, a spent catalyst, a recirculation catalyst and a flue gas catalyst slide valves, originally manufactured by a U.S. competitor. (March 14, 2000)
Remosa will manufacture new internals for a spent catalyst control slide valve for BP Oil Refinería de Castellón, in Spain (BP-Amoco Group). The original valve manufacturer is a Japanese competitor. Delivery time is set for April 15, 2000. (February 18, 2000)
