Esso Belgium recently ordered two new Remosa valves for the Antwerp Refinery: one upstream flue gas double disc slide valve (inlet 743 mm, outlet 895 mm) and one downstream flue gas double disc slide valve (inlet 895 mm, outlet 1048 mm). Both valves are hot-wall type with carbon steel body, designed to ExxonMobil specifications. (December 2, 2003)
Remosa will design and manufacture two butterfly valves for MiRO - Mineraloelraffinerie Oberrhein GmbH & Co. KG of Karlsruhe, Germany. The two valves - 20" and 60"/46", Texaco Process - will use existing actuators. Delivery by December 2003; installation and start-up with Remosa supervision in Spring 2004. (April 22, 2003)
Remosa will design and manufacture a regenerated catalyst slide valve, height 1,800 mm, ID 1,111 mm, ordered by Galp Energia S.A. to be installed at Sines refinery, Portugal. The new valve will be delivered by June 9th, 2003. (January 20, 2003)
Remosa received an order from BAZAN Oil Refineries Ltd of Israel for a regenerated catalist slide valve, height 2,000 mm, ID 980 mm. The new valve will be delivered by May 4th, 2003 to be installed at Ashdod refinery. Actuator supplied by MEA Inc. of Illinois, USA. (January 17, 2003)
Two Remosa-manufactured valves have been installed during a turnaround at Petrobras' San José dos Campos (REVAP) refinery. The giant flue gas double disc slide valve (45 tons with the actuators) and the regenerated catalyst slide valve were shipped to Brazil earlier this year. A field engineer from Remosa will be on site on September 22nd for final supervision. (September 17, 2002)
Remosa secured an order from Petrobras for retrofitting an existing flue gas double disc slide valve (manufactured by a competing company) from the REGAP refinery in Betim, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The order also includes supplying the actuating and positioning system, consisting of two actuators and one hydraulic power control unit. Delivery by the end of October 2003. An on-site intervention by Remosa will be scheduled later. Another existing valve at REGAP will need retrofitting. It's a two-port diverter valve, linear type. Again, a new actuating and positioning system will be provided by Remosa - one actuator and one hydraulic power control unit. (September 17, 2002)
Syncrude Canada added one more valve to last year's order for the Syncrude Upgrader Expansion 1 Project at Fort McMurray, Alberta. Remosa will design and manufacture a two-port diverter valve, flip-flop type, cold shell. Delivery is set for April 2003. In the meantime, the main order is proceeding according to schedule. Three slide valves (see a photo of the hot stroke test, a few months ago) are in Fort McMurray already. (July 30, 2002)
Several valves passed the hot stroke test at Remosa's plant in the last few weeks. A two-port diverter valve, pendulum type, and a regenerated catalyst slide valve are ready to leave for Chile - final destination RPC's Concon refinery. Also successfully tested a two-port diverter valve (see photo) for Petrobras' REFAP refinery in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, and two two-port diverter valves (photo on the right, plus one more image) from Foster Wheeler's order in Collombey, Switzerland. (July 22, 2002)
Four Remosa-designed and manufactured butterfly valves will soon replace the existing ones - originally manufactured by a competing company - at Capuava refinery (RECAP) in São Paulo, Brazil. The order issued by Petrobras requires
All four valves will be delivered by December 2002. (July 3, 2002)
Remosa will design and manufacture a cooled catalyst slide valve for Saras SpA. It will be a cold wall design valve, UOP Process, lenght 2,698 mm, inlet and outlet ID 1,140 mm, to be installed at Sarroch refinery, in Sardinia, Italy. (March 18, 2002)
AGIP SpA received from Remosa two new valves for the Sanazzaro de' Burgondi refinery: one expander inlet butterfly valve, ID 1320.8 mm, (photo right: during the hot stroke test) and one expander by-pass butterfly valve, ID 762 mm. (March 18, 2002)
Administracion Nacional de Combustibles Alcohol Y Portland (ANCAP) of Uruguay is the latest addition to Remosa's customer list in Latin America. An order issued through Techint S.A. requires a spent catalyst slide valve (spool length 1,600 mm, inlet/outlet IDs 610 mm) and a regenerated catalyst slide valve (spool length 1,900 mm, inlet/outlet IDs 710 mm). Both valves are part of the La Teja refinery expansion project. Actuating systems will be supplied by Bafco Inc. of Warminster, PA, USA. Delivery by August 2002. (March 11, 2002)
The biggest flue gas double disc slide valve ever manufactured - height 4.575 m, ID 3,352 mm, with 140 mm stems and 200 mm Blac actuators, for a total weight of over 45 tons - left Remosa's plant in Cagliari, Italy on March 4th [photo, left]. Final destination Brazil - Petrobras' Henrique Lage REVAP refinery, in São José dos Campos. Remosa staff will be there for start-up operations later this year. Mr Mitsuo Abe, maintenance manager for Petrobras, was in Sardinia to supervise the hot stroke test in February. The photo on the right shows the RESCO application process. Another valve for REVAP, a regenerated catalyst slide, is travelling to Brazil with the same shipment. A spent catalyst slide valve was shipped to Petrobras' REGAP refinery in February. (March 8, 2002)
Remosa will design and manufacture a regenerated catalyst slide valve, cold wall design, to replace an existing plug valve at Scanraff refinery in Lysekil, Sweden. The order issued by Technip SpA of Italy includes retrofitting of the existing actuator (on site, with Remosa's staff) and it's part of a KBR process revamping. (March 4, 2002)

Remosa will have to design and manufacture the biggest two-port diverter valve ever - 180 tons without the actuator. It will be a pendulum type valve, cold wall design. Also included in REFAP's order are four expander butterfly valves and six slide valves (cold wall design):
All valves will be delivered by August, 2002. The actuator supplier has not been selected at this moment. (February 9, 2002)
